This book explores the impact of phytobiotics on broiler chicken performance and health, specifically focusing on the use of Brachiaria decumbens. With antibiotics being phased out in many regions due to their adverse effects on both human and livestock health, this work aims to identify plant-based alternatives that can improve poultry growth, nutrient digestibility, gut health, and overall performances. Through detailed experimental results, the book examines how plant product such as B. decumbens could affect growth performance, nutrient digestibility, gut histomorphology, cecal microflora, carcass characteristics, meat quality, and blood biomarkers in broilers. The discoveries suggest that phytobiotics can serve as viable alternatives to antibiotics, enhancing broiler production sustainably.
